RainCoast Studio Covid Protocol - Fall 2021

We were all hoping that this fall would see life back to ‘normal’. However, our start back into fall is taking some familiar notes from last year.

All RainCoast teachers are fully vaccinated, but as per the new PHO, masks will again be required by students and teachers while inside the studio. We understand that kids ages k - grade 3 are not mandated but highly encouraged to wear masks, because we teach musical theatre, and students are singing, - face masks for all ages are required. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will follow the restrictions and guidelines put in place. Hopefully, this new change back to masks will be short lived!

Our desire is to create a fun and safe learning environment for students, parents and teachers. With our location, we are able to have a very controlled environment both inside and directly outside our studio space. We will be strictly adhering to our protocol plan for all classes, following the guidelines in accordance with BC CDC, WorkSafe BC, Island Health and K-12 learning. Our space will be clean, sanitized and monitored.

Last year we had very specific arrival and departure routine. This year students can arrive and leave from any part of the building. Please make sure students and parents / guardians are all masked in the hallway.

As before, Please DO NOT COME to class if you or anyone in your family has symptoms of, or is waiting for test results for Covid-19. If your student has a fever, dry cough or is feeling unwell, please stay home. RainCoast reserves the right to send any student or teacher home who displays any signs of being unwell.

We look forward to a great year ahead and a fantastic year end show in the Tidemark.
